Guy Fieri was on Today this morning, and we are not sure why NBC/Universal is so in love with this man, but it was one of the most ridiculous stunts we have ever seen on television. Seriously.
First Fieri did a segment with Savannah Guthrie defending himself and his horrible restaurant, saying; “I’ve read reviews. There’s good and there’s bad in the restaurant business, but that to me went so overboard, it really seemed like there was another agenda.”
Yes sir, the agenda of conveying how much your food sucks. And for those defending Fieri, the man is charging $22.50 for meatloaf and $18 for a Cobb Salad. That is about the price most Michelin starred restaurants would charge in the city, and if they tasted like crap critics would eviscerate them too.
Then, Today threw Fieri on with Today’s Experts, with Donny Deutsch, Star Jones and Dr. Phil, who all felt so bad for Fieri and HATE mean old Pete Wells from the New York Times.
Dr. Phil, awful to look at windbag that he is, feels most bad for the workers who may suffer, but not of course for the workers who have to throw down about a hundred bucks of their head earned money for a drink, appetizer, salad and entree that tastes like sh*t at Fieri’s junk joint.
Also, Fieri cooked for everyone at Today and it tasted amazing. Really? Because we are sure he did not go out of his way to make sure their food actually tasted good, unlike patrons at the actual restaurant.
