Hannah Hart To Be Honored At GLAAD Gala In San Francisco

The out YouTuber has just signed on to host a Food Network series.

Fresh off the news she will host a new six-episode series with the Food Network, out YouTuber Hannah Hart will be honored at GLAAD Gala San Francisco on September 8.

Hart will receive the Davidson/Valentini Award, presented to an LGBT media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting equality and acceptance for the LGBT community.

With more than 2.5 million subscribers, Hart has used her social media presence to further understanding and acceptance for the LGBT community. Her series “Coming Out” offered candid and personal conversations about LGBT identity and issues.

Aisha Tyler hosts the event, which will also include a special performance by Halsey. Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff, who has been outspoken against Indiana’s homophobic “religious freedom” law, will receive GLAAD’s Ric Weiland Award.
