Trans models Tracey Africa and Geena Rocero are joining Tyra Banks for a groundbreaking cover series in the new issue of Harper's Bazaar India.

Art Director Christopher Sollinger cast icons and new faces, with nine versions of the magazine available, each featuring a different woman of color—including Tracey and Geena, the first transgender women to appear on a Harper's Bazaar cover.

"Showcasing white woman after white woman on covers does not work anymore—we need to show the women of the world that is of now,” says Sollinger, who shot "The Nine Wonders of the World" campaign over the course of a week in New York.

“The world is changing and, with this story, we want to be a part of that global revolution.”

For Africa, who landed a coveted Clairol hair color box in the 1970s, this return to the spotlight "means the world to me."

"For me to represent my community, it is such a humbling experience," says the 63-year-old stunner. "I can't thank Christopher and Harper's Bazaar enough for allowing me to be on the cover."

Rocero, who produced Logo's original series As Beautiful as I Want to Be, says it was an honor to appear on the cover with women she'd looked up to. "Growing up in the Philippines I used to dream of being on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar.”

Other models appearing on the covers, which sees them in unique headpieces by American artist Isaac Aden, include Korean fashion muse Soo Joo Park (above), Belgium's Hannelore Knuts, Caribbean beauty Cora Emmanuel, Brazil's Emanuela de Paula, Pyper and Daisy Smith, and Hind Sahli, one of the few Muslim models to break out of Morocco.
