Harry Connick Jr. was certainly an interesting choice for a new judge on perpetual star-churning reality show American Idol.  While he is is ranked among the top 60 best-selling male artists in the United States by the Recording Industry Association of America, with 16 million in certified sales, some of us remember him better for his roles in things like Will and Grace or Independence Day.  Nonetheless, the beefy beauty has been making waves by charming mothers and tweens across the United States with his adorable antics.

His most recent shenanigans on the nationwide karaoke contest include holding a potential Hollywood-bound singer in his arms while the star-struck child crooned Adele’s “Crazy.”  Connick is now asking for #cradle photos to be tweeted directly at him:

Later, Connick belted out a few of Big Freedia’s signature bounce lyrics.

Will “cradling” become a new meme?  Is Connick the breath of fresh air Idol needs to revive the aging series?  Will Connick hold me in his arms if I ask him to?  Who cares! Mostly, I just want to see him on tour with The Queen Diva.  You already know!
