Ru, Are You Listening? Harry Styles Wants to Be on “Celebrity Drag Race”

Please welcome to the stage: Sherry Hyles!

A certain One Direction alum is ready to sissy that walk on RuPaul’s Celebrity Drag Race.

During a recent interview on the U.K.’s Hits Radio Breakfast talk show, Harry Styles revealed that he’s totally down to compete on the celebrity spin-off of RuPaul’s massively popular reality TV competition, Metro U.K. reports. The show, slated to air on VH1 in 2020, will consist of just four episodes, with 12 celebs being mentored by former Drag Race queens in the art of drag.

Asked if he’d be game to appear on Celebrity Drag Race, Styles was enthusiastic: “Yeah! Why not?”

A stint in the werk room wouldn’t be Styles’ first time experimenting with gender nonconforming fashion. At this year’s camp-themed Met Gala, the former boy band singer donned a sheer, ruffled black jumpsuit, complete with a single pearl earring.

Though Styles isn’t openly queer, he’s spoken in the past about sexual fluidity, and alluded to it in his lyrics. Last June, he also borrowed a “Make America Gay Again” flag from an audience member at a show during Pride Month.

His most recent single, “Lights Up,” also dropped with a super-sexy music video depicting a queer beachside romp, prompting some fans to herald the track as a “bisexual anthem.”

If Styles is serious about tucking on Drag Race maybe he could ask his friend Kacey Musgraves, since she was a judge on All Stars Season 4. Maybe she could put in a good word for him?
