Hayley Kiyoko Burns An Old Flame In New "Curious" Music Video
Hayley Kiyoko has just dropped the new video for "Curious," and it's just as provocative as you'd expect from the out singer-songwriter.
The 26-year-old "lesbian Jesus" calls "Curious" an anthem for self-respect—for "knowing when to walk away when someone you care about is playing games." And the video, directed by Kiyoko herself, is sexy, cinematic and unapologetically queer.
In it, she heats things up with a ex-girlfriend who's now with a guy—but obviously still has lingering feelings.
As Kiyoko's character takes charge, the chorus echoes "I'm just curious/Is it serious?"
Kiyoko's tackling queer issues in her craft, but she ready to be role model for LGBT fans in real life, too.
"The fear that I used to have has now forced me to be like, you know what? No one else is stepping up, so I will," she told Buzzfeed. "I will be that person that I was afraid to be."
"Curious" is the latest release off Kiyoko's upcoming album, Expectations, slated to drop on March 30.
Debuting the video on TRL this week, Kiyoko confessed she routinely gets her heart broken. So, producers decided to put her through a mock dating game with three female super-fans.
