Hayley Kiyoko Jams Out With Lance Bass in Nostalgic “She” Music Video

She throws it back to her Disney Channel days, too.

Before her fans anointed her Lesbian Jesus, Hayley Kiyoko was just... Hayley.

On Monday night, the "I Wish" singer dropped a new single, "She," and a super-nostalgic video for the upbeat track. In the music video, Kiyoko harkens back to her Disney Channel days, donning a wig of the iconic mullet with blond side bangs she sported in Lemonade Mouth (2011) and Wizards of Waverly Place (2007–2012). (Think The L Word's Shane McCutcheon and her ridiculous hair, but worse, and I mean that in the very best way possible.)

"She" also sees Kiyoko try on outfit after outfit in the mirror of what can only be her childhood bedroom. Settling on a bright pink "Everyone loves an Asian girl" tee layered over a flannel (because she's gay, duh), the VMA-winning singer picks up her guitar and starts to rock out in the direction of her NSYNC poster.

Surprise, surprise: Lance Bass—an out NSYNC alum who rose to fame in the beloved boy band's heyday—makes a cameo, jamming out with a teenage Kiyoko from his POV on her wall. (How come that never happened when we were boy band-obsessed teens?!)

Not to spoil the fun, but Kiyoko ends the video embracing herself fully in an adorable, Pride flag-filled full circle moment.
