Deadline is reporting that HBO has picked up to series the much-discussed still-untitled dramedy “which revolves around three friends in San Francisco (Frankie J. Alvarez, Murray Bartlett, Jonathan Groff), who explore the fun and sometimes overwhelming options available to a new generation of gay men.”
Production is expected to start in the fall for the eight-episode 2014 run. It’s already being referred to as a gay version of Girls. Do you think that’s a good thing, or a bad thing?
In any event, after all the bad news we’ve had with cancellations this week, this is something to look forward to.
