For anyone needing a break from holiday tunes, here's Sam Smith and a bunch of adorable rabbits to the rescue.

Fresh off his successful The Thrill of It All tour, the Oscar and Grammy-winning superstar has released a touching new ballad called "Fire on Fire." The song will be featured on the upcoming mini-series adaptation of the book Watership Down—which will be available for streaming on Netflix on Sunday, December 23.

"So honoured to be a part of the new @bbcone / @netflix adaptation of Watership Down," Smith captions his Instagram post promoting the record. "This story is so powerful and timeless and it's been thrilling to work on a song for it. I hope everyone loves it as much as I do x."

In the adaptation of the classic novel by Richard Adams, a warren of rabbits battles many threats on their daring journey to find a new home. A who's who of actors including Nicholas Hoult, John Boyega, Gemma Arterton, Daniel Kaluuya, and Olivia Colman lend their voices.
