Heath Ledger was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar in 2006 for Brokeback Mountain, and now the wardrobe he sported in the film has earned an honor of its own: A white ribbed tank top and rust-colored plaid shirt Ledger wore as closeted rancher Ennis Del Mar netted $15,625 at auction this week.

Ledger wore the items in the scene when Ennis tells Jack (Jake Gyllenhaal) that he won't sleep with him again.

Collins, the first out player in the league, is only on a 10-day contract with the Nets  but demand for his jersey has been "unprecedented." (His No. 98, chosen in memory of Shepard, is the top seller on NBAStore.com.)

Collins met Shepard's parents Thursday at a Nets-Nuggets game in Denver and says he is thrilled to help the organizations that "work tirelessly to ensure LGBT youth get the resources and assistance they need to be successful in life."

The NBA, which announced that donations are expected to top $100,000, also plans to auction off Collins' signed and worn jerseys to the same foundations.

Dallas Cowboys v Atlanta FalconsDeion Sanders, a Hall of Famer who played for the Atlanta Falcons, the San Francisco 49ers, the Dallas Cowboys, the Washington Redskins and the Baltimore Ravens, says there's been at least one gay guy on every team he played for.

Sanders appeared on The Arsenio Hall Show this week and talked about Michael Sam, who is poised to become the NFL's first openly gay player.  "He's not the first gay guy in the NFL. He's the first one to come out, let's get that straight..." Sanders told Hall. "Every team I've played on - five different teams - there was someone gay in the locker room."

Now an analyst with the NFL network Sanders has no doubts about Sam or any gay player, saying "if he can make plays, he can play the game."

We'd like to say Deion Sanders is a big ball of gay love, but the opinion he voiced on homosexuality in general on the show was a real fumble: "I don't nor do I condemn," he revealed, "but I've had a friend, family members... Everyone out there: you've had someone of homosexuality in your family — and someone who's on drugs and alcohol. How can I judge them?"

Stick to football, Deion.

The Kentucky Attorney General had original requested a 90-day-stay “to determine if they will appeal the order, and the Executive Branch time to determine what actions must be taken to implement this Court’s Order if no appeal is taken.”  Judge John G. Heyburn II is only putting it on hold until March 20, after initially indicating there wouldn't be any stay at all.

Heyburn issued a preliminary order on February 12 declaring that a 1998 state law and a 2004 state constitutional amendment prohibiting any recognition of same-sex marriages were unconstitutional because they violated the Fourteenth Amendment.
