The "Heathers" TV Reboot Takes Over The Bathrooms At New York Comic-Con

The upcoming TV show based on Heathers is making its presence known at New York Comic-Con this week: The show is taking over restrooms at the Javits Center with an installation featuring artwork and cast portraits from the Paramount Network series.

The show, premiering next year, is being billed as a "pitch-black" comedic anthology. Grace Victoria Cox is Veronica Sawyer (Winona Ryder in the 1988 film), a high school student who's at first befriended and then tormented by the a vicious clique. This time, though, the Heathers include a genderqueer Heather (Brendan Scanell), a black lesbian Heather (Jasmine Mathews) and a plus-sized Heather (Melanie Field).

Fans of the original cult movie will be happy to hear Shannen Doherty will make an appearance, alongside Selma Blair (Cruel Intentions) and Casey Wilson (Happy Endings).

If you can't wait until the show premieres, there's always the musical, now touring.
