The "Heathers" Make A Killer Entrance In TV Reboot's First Preview

"Well, f*ck me gently with a chainsaw."

Grab some corn nuts and a croquet mallet because the first promo for the Paramount Network's adaptation of Heathers is here, and it looks killer good.

The original 1988 film starred Winona Ryder and Christian Slater as nihilistic teens squaring off against the most popular girls in school.

The Hollywood Reporter describes the new version as a modern-day black comedy with a new set of Heathers: “Heather McNamara (Jasmine Mathews) is a black lesbian, Heather Duke (Brendan Scannell) is a male who identifies as gender-queer whose real name is Heath; and Heather Chandler (Melanie Field) has a body like Martha Dumptruck.”

In the new promo Veronica (Grace Victoria Cox) is told that Heather Chandler is looking for her. Veronica replies with one of the movie's most iconic lines: "Well, f*ck me gently with a chainsaw."

Thankfully, we now know the movie's best quotes will not be watered down for TV audiences.
