Helena Bonham Carter Becomes Miss Havisham In “Great Expectations” Trailer

Helena Bonham Carter has flawlessly tackled more classic roles than any other actor working in London Hollywood, whether it be Ophelia in Hamlet, Lucy Honeychurch in A Room with a View, Helen Schlegel in Howard’s End, or, our personal favorite, Kate Croy in The Wings of the Dove (and this just to name a few), but we all know the role that Miss B. Carter was born to play was that of Miss Havisham in Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations, a novel every Freshman in high school pretended to read over the summer. And now, it is finally happening.

HBC is gonna be literature’s greatest HBIC.

Set to release next month, today we are finally getting our first look at the Merchant Ivory muse in the film’s trailer, and she does not disappoint.
