Henry Rollins And Glenn Danzig Are Still In Love In New Edition Of "Henry And Glenn Forever & Ever"

The most metal love story ever.

Henry Rollins and Glenn Danzig should be familiar names to fans of DIY hardcore. Perhaps less well-known is that the two musclebound dudes are live-in boyfriends. At least they were in Henry & Glenn Forever, the comic zine from Tom Neely of the L.A. art collective Igloo Tornado.

Drawn in a simplistic Family Circus style, the comic mocks the rockers' super-stoic (and super-hetero) reputations: Readers see Henry and Glenn pen weepy diary entries, have meltdowns, go to gay hell (which is ruled by Freddie Mercury), and interact with their satanist neighbors, Daryl Hall and John Oates.

First published in 2010, it's become a cult favorite that sold more than 100,000 copies and got compiled into a graphic novel in 2014.

Now the series is being re-released as Henry & Glenn Forever & Ever: The Completely Ridiculous Edition, a 330-page hardbound version coming in September. The new edition features entire series plus never-before-published-pages, but only 1,000 copies are being printed.

We don't know if Danzig has addressed the existence of Henry & Glenn Forever, but Rollins, a staunch LGBT ally, has called it "one of my favorite uses of satire."

"I have never opened a copy," he admitted. I am happy to live the rest of my life never knowing what happens to the two of us in those pages."

And if that doesn't sate your craving for punk slash-fiction, there's also the The Henry & Glenn Adult Activity & Coloring Book coming in November.

"Bust out your rainbow crayons," the promo copy reads, "and make your own mark on the story of two tough men learning to express their emotions together."
