Ted Cruz scares me the most:

"The Supreme Court only needs to add two more Antonin Scalias to allow laws favoring Christianity as a state religion to get through on a 5-4 vote. No more marriage equality. No more right to privacy for LGBT people, either. But say hello to laws banning consensual relations between same sex adults returning, as long as he finds a couple willing to ignore stare decisis. Which shouldn't be too hard, given he has surrounded himself with people who believe God's law trumps everything."

Will a week go by this year when we don't have to say goodbye to another music icon? This time it's Earth, Wind And Fire founder Maurice White, who's passed away at age 74 after battling Parkinson's Disease for over 25 years. He will be missed.

Adam performs Down Under. I'm digging the cool skull motif.

And here's The Weekly ShoutOUT™. Each week we're going to focus on one out athlete/performer and feature a daily pic and career timeline. We'll be showcasing the big names, but also the lesser-known gay and bisexual celebs who deserve more recognition. This week we give a ShoutOUT™ to ... Colman Domingo.

Closing out our week with Colman, the multi-talented performer starred on the first season of Fear The Walking Dead as the smart, sophisticated, and very mysterious recurring character Victor Strand, and he's been upped to series regular for the show's second season, debuting this August.

Three years ago I presented my personal favorite Briefs list, The 100 Greatest Lost Hits of The 80's, and because if there's one thing Hollywood has taught us, it's that sequels and reboots and remakes are ALWAYS better then the original, we're going to the well again with The 100 Greatest Lost Hits of The 80's Part 2: The Even More Forgotten

We'll be spotlighting 100 more of the greatest minor hits of the decade, the songs you don’t hear on any 80’s nostalgia show. Songs that missed the top ten, or top twenty … or top forty. Hopefully these forgotten gems may ring a long dormant bell, or for younger readers, provide a pop music history lesson.

At #12 is "Time And Tide" by Basia

Earlier on the list we heard Basia's "New Day For You," and here we have her gorgeous debut, the exquisite "Time And Tide," which heralded her unique voice and style. It reached #26 in October 1988.

BONUS! Here's Basia's final chart entry, 1990's "Cruising For Bruising," which peaked at #29.
