Hankie Alert: Entire Class Cheers As Teen Asks His Boyfriend To Homecoming Via Song

The student serenades the crowd with a reimagined version of Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours."

A teen asking someone to be his Homecoming date via an elaborate musical number already sounds like something that only happens in the movies, but to have the proposal go down between two high school boyfriends seems even more unbelievable. And yet, that's exactly what happens in this adorable Facebook clip.

The viral video shows a student getting out of class to find a group of his classmates linking hands and forming a path straight to his boyfriend, who was crooning a reworked version of Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours."

“So I guess what I am saying is there ain’t no better chance, than for you to come with me so you can teach me how to dance,” he sings, adjusting the original lyrics to the delight of the other students. “That’s what I aim to do, so the choice is up to you.”

His boyfriend answers "yes" as his classmates erupt in elated squeals of giddiness that will instantly transport you back to high school, albeit a much more inclusive one than most of us remember.
