H-Duff did dress for the occasion. I think that outfit's hot, so I hope the Hollywood gays approved.

Someone in Hilary Duff’s camp has got to be telling her to go for the gays. Is she really trying to be our next Kylie? Well, if she is, I wonder if she’s trying quite hard enough, as much as I like her.

This weekend Hil performed a short set at a gay club, Popstarz, in West Hollywood; she did “Stranger” and “With Love,” and that was it. But gays paid big covers and packed the club at twice the normal capacity for a Friday to see Hilary perform and make a little smalltalk. Perez Hilton hosted the evening's festivities.

Hilary then bailed and hit up Les Deux to get her own party on. Why do I want Hilary to be the next Lindsay so badly? Like...so badly. Every step she takes toward to being a crazy L.A. party girl, the happier I get. I’m not sure what’s wrong with me.

Check out the video – Hilary’s dancing actually looks good to me. She also points out one gay in the crowd for having an iPhone and another for wearing a Texas t-shirt (I particularly liked someone in the crowd yelling “Yee-haw!” when Hilary says the word, “Texas”).
