Hillary Clinton Was Seriously Pissed When Passports Were Changed To Accommodate Same-Sex Parents

Clinton told an aide she wouldn't support changing "mother and father" on applications to "parent one and two."

Hillary Clinton has made it clear she evolved on marriage equality, and has gone so far as to include same-sex couples in her campaign ads, chose an openly gay man as her campaign manager, and hired a liaison to the LGBT community.

But back in 2011, when she was Secretary of State, Clinton was not pleased the State Department changed passport applications to be gender-neutral, in recognition of same-sex parents.

In a recently surfaced email, Clinton wrote to an aide:

"Who made the decision that State will no longer use the term 'mother and father,' and instead substitute 'parent one and two'? I’m not defending that decision, which I disagree [with] and knew nothing about, in front of this Congress."

Clinton insisted she “could live with” a different term for gay parents, but that she wanted the applications to “retain the presumption of a mother and father.”

“We need to address this today,” she warned, “or we will be facing a huge Fox-generated media storm led by [Sarah] Palin, et al.”

Maybe that's why Hill deleted all those old emails?
