Woman Trolls Bigoted Neighbor With 10,000 Rainbow Christmas Lights

"Since regular aggression leads to assault charges, I went with passive aggression."

A former Mormon woman found the perfect way to both get in the holiday spirit and get under her homophobic neighbor's skin with one simple idea — and 10,000 Christmas lights.

A Reddit user who goes by the name Mrs. Rosey Crotch posted a story declaring she left the Mormon church because of its stance on homosexuality, but her Mormon neighbor "came bouncing over" for a visit when she thought they had the religion in common.

"Thinking that we were allies, she went on to tell us how horrified she was when her son got turned down for prom because the girl was already planning on going with her girlfriend," the woman wrote.

The neighbor went on to complain about a middle school assembly that focused on a student who identifies as a transgender boy.

"I thought she had meant that the school outed him, which, in my book, is horrifyingly wrong," she wrote. "Nope, he had organized the assembly and spoke of the realities of being transgender. That, coupled with the school's justifications for letting lesbians attend the prom together and doing an assembly that taught kids the facts about being transgender were just too much for her."

And so, with no desire to get into an altercation with the bigot, she was instead inspired to show the neighborhood that she stands with the LGBT community by decorating her house in the colors of the rainbow.

Just a reminder to don your gay apparel this Christmas and never let the homophobes in your life dim your light.
