Honey Boo Boo's Uncle Poodle Gets Engaged To Boyfriend, Mama June Newly Single
Lee Thompson—a.k.a. beloved "Uncle Poodle" on Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, just got engaged to his boyfriend, Alan.
Thompson popped the question over the weekend and shared their happy news on Facebook, writing "Damn I love this man, the love of my life and now fiancee... Alan I love you."
In 2012, Lee told the Georgia Voice how his niece Alana Thompson, better known to the world as "Honey Boo Boo," came up with his canine nickname.
"We were at practice one day, getting ready for a pageant. Her coach was talking about her gay friends, and she said, ‘I love all my poodles," he recalled. "Alana thought she was really talking about dogs. She wanted to know how many poodles she had, and what were their names. And I said, ‘No, Alana, she’s talking about gay people.’ Well, that did it. All gay people are poodles to her now, and I’m her Number One poodle.”
Sadly Honey's parents, June "Mama June" Shannon and Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson, have just announced they plan to split. Hopefully they'll both still come to the wedding.
