If you needed another reason to see Hugh Jackman on Broadway in The River, the Aussie actor just auctioned off three "slightly sweaty" t-shirts for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS after this evening's performance.
He introduced the auction as being "in the spirit of shameless exploitation," and seriously worked the room. Jackman's jerseys netted $5,700 each, putting $13,100 in the pockets of Broadway Cares, which provides essential services to industry members living with HIV/AIDS and gives grants to community AIDS groups.
"He was very funny and flirtatious," said friend of NNN Scott Wooledge
What would someone do with Hugh Jackman's sweat-stained t-shirt? How are we doing on that whole cloning thing?
