"I Am Cait" Pulled Off The Air In Africa

Authorities in Nigeria said the show contained ideas they didn’t want people “to be exposed to.”

Caitlyn Jenner's documentary I Am Cait was pulled off the air in Africa due to complaints from viewers over the show's subject matter.

The series follows Jenner through her transition, but authorities in Nigeria allegedly campaigned for the airings to be shut down because it contains ideas that they didn't want people "to be exposed to."

Parents were also complaining that the show was inappropriate for their children, causing African broadcaster MultiChoice to drop the series from its lineup entirely.

“MultiChoice recognizes the importance of respecting the views of a number of its customers and all regulatory environments within which its service operates," said MultiChoice in a statement. "After careful consideration, MultiChoice would like to inform its valued subscribers that the show will no longer air on the channel across our platforms.”

Meanwhile, the future of the show doesn't look that good in the United States either, as a ratings drop in the second season has created rumors of cancellation.
