Ian McKellen Leads The March At London Pride: PHOTOS

A little rain never stopped a Londoner, and Saturday's downpour certainly didn't stop some 20,000 people from marching in the London Pride parade, the first since equal marriage took effect in England earlier this year. The procession sallied forth from Baker Street, through Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus, Pall Mall and Trafalgar Square, before ending at Whitehall.

Sir Ian McKellen marched with Stonewall, the UK's leading LGBT advocacy group. “London Pride is a celebration that the whole capital can be proud of," said Stonewall leader Ruth Hunt.  “It’s inspirational to see so many thousands of people not just celebrating everything we’ve achieved as a community but also continuing to fight for LGBT equality here in Britain and around the world.

McKellen also appeared at the Pride festival in Trafalgar Square to introduce headliner Conchita Wurst.
