Well this may just be our favorite story of the week.
It seems that Ian McKellen, our favorite Middle Earth gay, will be officiating at the wedding of his pal and X-Men costar Patrick Stewart later this year when he walks down the aisle with 35-year-old jazz singer Sunny Ozell. We love it!
McKellen announced the news on The Jonathan Ross Show this weekend, saying; “I’m going to marry Patrick,” prompting some laughter and confusion from the audience. “How else do you put that? I’m going to officiate at his wedding.”
This will not be McKellen’s first time at the rodeo either, having previously performed a civil partnership in England between two men that ended with him “crying [his] eyes out.”
The boys will also be together later this year when they star in Waiting for Godot on Broadway.
