Sirs Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart Pucker Up at "Picard" Premiere

Where, well, many men have gone before.

Knighted thespians and gay-straight BFF goals Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart escorted one another to the premiere of the latter's latest project, Star Trek: Picard, the CBS All Access show in which Stewart reprises his iconic role as Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the starship Enterprise.

The two vaunted actors have been great friends since they fought over the fate of mutant-kind in 2000's X-Men—McKellen even officiated Stewart's wedding in 2013. So, naturally, they did what any pair of besties (who are both slaying lewks, btw) would do when confronted with a slew of cameras: PHOTO SHOOT!

You can practically hear the crowd chanting, "Kiss each other already! Kiss each other!" Whether or not they were asked to, McKellen and Stewart did indeed lock lips for the kids.

Even though Sir Patrick is happily married to a lovely lady, he'll always be an honorary gay to us. And if you watch 1995's Jeffrey, he's a fictional gay to all.

Come through, Jean-Luc!
