Iceman and Pyro Turn Up the Heat in Latest "X-Men: Gold" Comic

20GayTeen just keeps on giving!

Geeky gays, get ready: Iceman and Pyro are hooking up in the latest X-Men: Gold comic.

Issue No. 31, which dropped July 4, sees Bobby Drake (Iceman) and Simon Lasker (Pyro) turn up the heat in Iceman's hotel room after a wedding. The morning after, Pyro propositions Iceman for round two, but before they can come to a decision, a loud noise from above interrupts them.

X-Men lovers took to Twitter to share their excitement. "This Pyro/Iceman development in the new X-Men: Gold would have given teenage me a heart attack," one fan wrote.

"20GayTeen is real," wrote another.

Iceman's sexuality is not news to Marvel lovers. He formally came out in 2015, when a time-traveling version of himself revealed he was gay, and went to a gay bar in a 2016 All-New X-Men issue. He even had a long-awaited gay kiss in the original run.

Recently, Marvel announced its plans to resurrect a previously canceled Iceman standalone series. Original Iceman writer Sina Grace, a gay man, and illustrator Nate Stockman are slated to revive the comics. The first issue drops in September.

At this point, it's unclear whether Iceman and Pyro's one-night stand will turn into something more. Fans will just have to wait and see.

Issue No. 32 of X-Men: Gold hits stands July 18.
