With his fluid moves and quick footwork, Canadian dancer Take Some Crime has been making serious waves on YouTube: The long-limbed beauty (he keeps his real name a secret) has posted videos of him dancing in his humble apartment to tracks by everyone from Skrillex, Miike Snow and Gisell to LCD Soundsystem, Grizzly Bear and MisterWives.

His most popular video, featuring choreography to Parov Stelar’s “Catgroove,” has more than 21 million views.

That’s led to commercials in Germany, an agent in Croatia and taking the stage with Monarchy at Coachella.

“It was…surreal,” he tells BlackBook of his viral explosion “[It’s] still somewhat shocking.”

TSC has no formal dance training but did study martial arts and thinks “the karate moves somehow transferred over.”
