Incredibly Gay Hornet Billboard Trolls GOP Candidates At Presidential Debate

No word yet on what The Donald thinks of his cartoon self.

The GOP presidential candidates were in Milwaukee last night for the fourth debate for the Republican presidential nomination, which was held at the Milwaukee Theater, across the street from a super-gay billboard that gay app Hornet bought just for the occasion.

In photos of the billboard first posted by Newsweek, you can see it features a cartoon elephant with an unmistakable Trump wig using the app to chat with a unicorn wearing an American flag. "Into?" the unicorn asks, to which the elephant replies, "Open to debate…"

On the right side, a message in the app from the elephant, who Hornet creators identify as "Trunk," says, "I have so many fabulous friends!" It's an obvious reference to The Donald's claim that he has "so many fabulous friends who happen to be gay."

"We wanted to inject some humor and poke fun at the race," a Hornet spokesman said. "For most gay men around the world, they don't enjoy full equality, so it is important that at a debate like this we interject ourselves into politics even if the candidates aren't talking about our issues."

Hornet creators hoped the billboard would draw attention to the lack of LGBT issues being discussed at the debates, but it unfortunately couldn't work a miracle. Last night's debate, again, included zero talk about issues facing LGBTs.
