Insomnia's Paradise: Watch The Highly-Anticipated Video For Janet Jackson's "No Sleeep"
Janet Jackson's recent resurgence back into the spotlight continues today with the release of her sultry, midnight-laden music video for her comeback single "No Sleeep," featuring rapper J.Cole.
The video finds the icon roaming around a dimly lit palatial estate in the wee hours of the morning while the rain outside pours.
"You're missin' me/I'm missin' you!" Janet coos, pining over her lover while leaning against a stark white wall (aka her billionaire husband, Wissam Al Mana, is probably on a business trip and she's up watching Netflix).
Also, Janet really loves IKEA paper lanterns.
Janet then wanders around s'more, walking in front of a wall with a slideshow of Jackson family photos projected onto it.
The clip reaches a crescendo when Jackson dons a fedora while climbing the stair case; with a spotlight on her (cause who doesn't have a spotlight following them when they walk around their house?!), Janet tips her hat–a little nod to her older bro.
Then things get trippy.
Then J.Cole shows up and is like yo.
Then, in a reverse climax, Janet gets some sleep. Finally, girl! You have a tour to get ready for.
