Instagram Update Will Blur Your Shirtless Thirst-Trap Selfies

Bad news, Insta-models.

If you scroll through Instagram as a way to quench your insatiable thirst for chiseled bodies and bountiful behinds, you may not want to download the app's next update.

The photo-sharing network announced it's making a few changes, including an attempt to cut out "sensitive content" by blurring some images on your feed.

Instagram has faced backlash in the past for deleting pics that followed app guidelines, but were still flagged by other users as inappropriate. The new feature is designed to help prevent people from seeing the photos that the app can't actually ban.

"While these posts don’t violate our guidelines, someone in the community has reported them and our review team has confirmed they are sensitive," reads a post on Instagram's official blog. "This change means you are less likely to have surprising or unwanted experiences in the app."

You'll still be able to see the photos by tapping the image a second time in order to get the security screen to lift.

It seems as though the current rules regarding nudity will remain the same, but this feature will serve as an added layer of "protection" for photos that users report as "offensive or disturbing."
