Panti Bliss, Irish drag staple and gay rights advocate extraordinaire, is brining her one-woman comedy show to New York City for the first time ever and tickets are definitely within your price range.

Panti has long been considered Ireland's foremost drag entertainer and a darling of the Irish media. Her oft-quoted voice has been raising awareness for gay rights worldwide for over two decades, and her impassioned advocacy took center stage across Irish media during the country's recent referendum on same-sex marriage.

On the heels of Ireland's historic "Yes" vote, Panti is ready for her U.S. debut at the Irish Arts Center in New York City:

High Heels in Low Places is Panti’s riotous stand-up show about life after Pantigate, which played to rave reviews and chock-a-block houses across Ireland. Critics called it “Hilarious” (Hotpress) and “a wickedly funny evening” (Irish Independent) with “impeccable one-liners” (The Evening Herald). Charting brushes with infamy, near misses with fame, and adventures in the seedy underbelly, the High Queen of Ireland invites you in to her ultra-padded, hyper-real, stiletto-shaped world, as she swaps stories from the gutter and trades secrets of the stars.

High Heels in Low Places runs at Irish Arts Center for five nights, Monday, June 8 through Saturday, June 13. An official opening takes place Tuesday, June 9 at 7:30pm; performances run Tuesday-Wednesday at 7:30pm and Friday-Saturday at 8pm. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online.

Earlier this year, Panti gave an emotional speech about "all the little things" gay men and women are robbed of at the TEDx Talks event in Dublin. Check it out below:
