It’s been 17 years since Britney Spears made her film debut in the Shonda Rimes-written Crossroads, but that’s about to change according to the director of the upcoming horror film Corporate Animals, Patrick Brice.
EXCLUSIVE: @BritneySpears will return to the big screen with a cameo in horror comedy #CorporateAnimals—one so secret, even star Jessica Williams (@msjwilly) didn't know about it until this interview at #Sundancehttps://t.co/RmF7nljkdk @justdemi @CalumWorthy @Patrick_brice pic.twitter.com/8P4eNSD1bg

During a panel with the Los Angeles Times at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, Brice spilled all the tea.
“One of our characters—Calum Worthy’s character, Aidan—is obsessed with Britney Spears, and there’s a runner of him as he’s going crazy thinking that he is hearing Britney speaking to him from the walls,” Brice said. “Through a series of connections we were able to get 10 minutes of her time to record this, which was so awesome.”
Apparently the news was kept under such tight wraps, even star Jessica Williams was shook as she learned about the news for the first time live.
Corporate Animals stars Demi Moore and Ed Helms in a tale of a corporate retreat gone badly wrong. It is premiering at Sundance this week, but it doesn’t have a release date just yet.
