Daryl Dixon, the resident badass on AMC's The Walking Dead,  has yet to have any romantic entanglements— what with all those pesky zombies getting in the way.

In the  letters section of a recent issue of the Walking Dead comic book, a fan questioned if AMC would be down for revealing that Daryl is gay.

"For the record, they absolutely would," Kirkman replied. “All I can say is that it’s been discussed. We have very specific ideas about Daryl’s sexuality (or the seeming lack thereof), and if there’s ever a quiet period in the show where he’s not consistently distracted by crossbowing… we’ll tackle it in the show.”

Well, we'll get to see if Daryl will get hit with Cupid's arrow when Season 5 of The Walking Dead premieres Sunday, October 12 at 9pm ET on AMC.
