We can debate whether Ivanka Trump is complicit in her father’s anti-LGBT policies, but the First Daughter seems to think she’s the gay community’s BFF.
On Thursday night, Ivanka tweeted out a Pride month message, writing, “Logging back on after Shavuot, wishing everyone a joyful #Pride2017.”
“This month we celebrate and honor the #LGBTQ community,” she added. “I am proud to support my LGBTQ friends and the LGBTQ Americans who have made immense contributions to our society and economy.”

Firstly, the optics on this seem a little weird: Why would you bring up the economy in a Pride month greeting? Perhaps she realizes that’s the only way to make it palatable to the Republican base? (“Yes, they’re fornicators but they make us all money.”) Though mentioning a Jewish holiday probably spoils that intent.
But most Twitter users were just more outraged that Ivanka, who is both the daughter of the president and seemingly a key member of his staff, was deaf to all the ways her father/boss is harming the LGBT community—from repealing Obama-era protections for trans kids to massively cutting HIV/AIDS spending. President Trump didn’t even bother issuing a Pride Month proclamation, as his predecessor had done for eight years.
And they let her know.
how convenient that you didn't tag @VP. Oh, and girl fuck you and your incompetent father. Happy pride bitch.

Thanks for all the work you've done for the planet. Just kidding! You are a monster like your mobster dad and brothers.

I'd thank you for your tweet but I'm kind of busy getting deprogrammed in conversion therapy.
