Potter 2.0?
J.K. Rowling scores one for the gays.
The author’s new novel The Casual Vacancy may not be getting the best of reviews but at least Rowling is continuing to address LGBT issues. (Gay Dumbledore, anyone?)
In her latest book, about a parish council member’s untimely death in a small town and a subsequent election, Rowling has a female character who comes out to her mom as a lesbian. Her mother is “struck dumb” by the revelation.
This doesn’t sound like the new Potter but hopefully the female character is as hot and awesome as Hermione.
