The new L Word reboot, The L Word: Generation Q, premieres on Showtime next month, and our favorite power lesbian, Bette Porter, already has our vote. Just bring back Jenny Schecter, okay?!

However, it turns out the network has another Big Queer Show on its roster—one inspired by the life of nonbinary writer and activist Jacob Tobia.

Showtime is now developing their debut memoir, Sissy: A Coming-of-Gender Story, into a television series, Variety reports. With the working title Sissy, the show would chronicle the adventures of Tobi Gibran, a nonbinary college graduate who moves from small-town North Carolina to New York City in search of a queer utopia.

The catch? The Big Apple isn't all it's cracked up to be, as Tobi quickly discovers it's less of a "glittering trans paradise” and more of a “trash-filled hell with a side of street harassment."

Tobia is on board to co-write and co-executive produce Sissy alongside showrunner Michael Lannan.

It's the latest in a string of career achievements for the 28-year-old advocate, writer, and speaker, who made their acting debut with a voiceover role on the latest season of Netflix's She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. Their résumé also includes working on Amazon's Transparent and creating and hosting "Queer 2.0" for NBC News.

"My work is all about what it means to overcome cultures of shame, what it means to learn to own your gender in a world that told you it was wrong," Tobia told NewNowNext in June, when we honored them in our Logo30. "My work is about reclamation."

Tobia adds that they're beyond excited to be a part of the latest wave of queerification on Showtime. "For decades, Showtime has centered the voices of queer creators, producing queer and trans stories years before anyone else had the courage to do so," they wrote on Instagram. "It’s really fucking sweet to be part of that legacy, and to be able to officially announce that we are gonna make Sissy into a show."
