Jada Pinkett Smith Talks About Male Objectification In “Magic Mike XXL”

Recently, we sat down with the cast of Magic Mike XXL (don’t be jealous) and hit them with the questions we knew you were dying to ask.

Below, we asked Jada Pinkett Smith whether the film objectifies its male cast.

“When I look at a movie like this, we really get to know these guys,” she explained. “Which, to me, kind of eliminates the idea of objectification—they’re human beings to us.”

We would never think otherwise, Jada!

“Of course, they’re gorgeous human beings—and there are times when get to see some abs and scream and shout,” she added. “It’s a beautiful thing to watch.”
