Jake Gyllenhaal Is A Knockout In New "Southpaw" Trailer
Jake Gyllenhaal is going the way of Sylvester Stallone and Christian Bale in his upcoming boxing drama, Southpaw, which hits theaters July 24. The film's second trailer is out now.
Directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day), the film tells the story of Billy "The Great" Hope, a junior middleweight boxer who struggles to climb back to the top of the game after a tragedy. (Emimen was actually considered for the role.)
Written by Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter, Southpaw co-stars Rachael McAdams, 50 Cent, Rita Ora, Forest Whitaker, Naomie Harris, and Victor Ortiz.
