Dave Franco’s older brother James Franco, the only Oscar nominated actor to ever spray paint a mural featuring Jay Baruchel and Danny McBride in Williamsburg, is doing the press rounds in support of his new book Actor Anonymous, and revealing that he bangs so many actresses all the time. But does he really bang so many actresses all the time ?
You see, our boy James, that master of all things meta, has a character in his new novel named James Franco. And this is what James Franco has to say in one passage:
So, yes, I did it. I had lots of sex. Lots. Most actors seem to do it, capitalize on their celebrity appeal. It’s funny, lots of guys that become actors were shy or nerdy or sensitive, so when they became famous they really cash in to make up for those years when they were overlooked and rejected …
I had something going on with most of my female co-stars and worked up a routine so that I could see someone every night.
What a slut.
But here’s the thing, when James was writing about James Franco in his new book, he was totally trying to make a bigger point about the culture of celebrity. Because who James Franco really is, and who we think James Franco to be, are, like, super different.
The Daily News just got straight to the point in a recent interview, and asked Jimmy if he was putting out everywhere with everyone. He told them:
People might roll their eyes at this answer, but I’m really thinking more of the perception of James Franco than trying to confess.
Well, he definitely got the first part of that statement right.
What we really want to know though, is if a James Franco falls in the woods, and no one is around to see it, is it still performance art? Oh, and we also want to know how often one of his novel’s other characters, the ghost of River Phoenix, is getting some in the pages of Actor Anonymous.
