As you’ve probably heard, last Friday night, good friends Adele and Jennifer Lawrence hit the town, heading to the New York gay bar Pieces (which is known for its drag shows), then swinging by Club Cumming, the East Village boite co-owned by award-winning actor Alan Cumming.

The “Rolling in the Deep” singer and the Red Sparrow star hung with clubgoers, got made up by drag queens, and were totally fun and a half. I heard at one point in all the gaiety, J-Law said mid-sentence, “I have to pee, but I want to continue with this conversation.” So she simply toddled over to a trash pail, hiked up her ensemble, and relieved herself into the garbage! While talking!

I’m surprised Adele didn’t toddle over there to set fire to the rain.

“We just got an A-rating from the Health Department,” cracked an observant drag queen to J-Law, “and now this!” And now we know why Lawrence has so many Golden Globes.

The next night, Adele bought a seat for Daddy, a gay off-Broadway play starring Cumming, but she left before the thing even started. The “Hello” lady was singing “Later”? Relax—she simply didn’t feel well, and is going to go back very soon. Maybe she was still nauseous from the sight of that trash can incident?

Anyway, as twinks ooh-ed and ahh-ed over these two superstars all over town—even as they made a potty—drag performer Linda Simpson deadpanned on Facebook, “Gay Guys: There are too many girls at this gay bar. Why can’t they... OMG, it’s Adele and Jennifer Lawrence! I love them!”
