Miley Cyrus, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and will.i.am are all joining forces this Saturday as part of a celebrity tribute to community heroes. The American Giving Awards will honor five community organizations who are finalists for a grand prize 1 million dollar donation. They include The Matthew Sheppard Foundation, To Write Love On Her Arms, Wish Upon A Hero Foundation, Let’s Get Ready and Move For Hunger. Each charity represents a different community building block, and fans and supporters have been voting online to support each for the grand prize. Voting ends tomorrow on Chase’s Facebook page for the charities.
In additional, Golden Globe winner Colin Farrell will be honored with a Leadership Award for his work supporting several causes including those combating homophobia and championing the Special Olympics. The event airs December 10th at 8 p.m. on NBC, hosted by Bob Costas.
