After putting in an impressive performance in a bout over the weekend, UFC fighter Jessica Andrade stunned the audience by proposing to her longtime girlfriend.

Andrade, a native Brazilian who's been competing in the UFC since 2013, fought against reigning champion Joanna Jędrzejczyk in the co-main event of UFC 211 Saturday night in Dallas. Though Jedrzejczyk bested Andrade over the course of the five-round fight, the 25-year-old fighter never backed down, drawing praise from commentators and attendees alike.

Following the fight, both winner and loser were given the opportunity to reflect on the bout in a in-cage interview. When color-commentator Joe Rogan handed the microphone over to Andrade, she said she had something special to say.

After briefly speaking about the fight, she turned to the crowd and asked her girlfriend to marry her.

“Today, I’d like to make a special request to my girlfriend, Fernanda, who is here,” said Andrade. “I want to take her in marriage.”

According to reports, Andrade's girlfriend gave a thumbs up and quickly accepted the proposal. Now it seems that Andrade will not only have to prepare for her next fight, but also for her upcoming wedding.
