Joan Rivers Officiated A Gay Wedding As One Of Her Final Acts: PHOTOS

Last month, Joan Rivers officiated the wedding of Joseph Aiello and William "Jed" Ryan in New York City.

The two had initially asked Joan to marry them at a book signing in July, but their quickie wedding wasn't technically legal. Joe and Jed had to have another ceremony and, sure enough, Joan was ready and willing to bless their union for a second time.

The iconic comic and her people took care of all of the arrangements for a small, intimate gathering with 10 or so of the couple's friends and family. It was just another example of the incredible kindness and generosity those who met Joan have recounted since her passing.

Below the couple discusses Rivers's softer side.

Since her passing, fans have expressed their love for the legendary comedian, lavishing her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and her Manhattan apartment with flowers and cards.
