Joan Rivers Made A Posthumous Appearance On "Celebrity Apprentice" Last Night

Though she left us in September, comedy legend Joan Rivers made a posthumous appearance last night on NBC's The Celebrity Apprentice.

A source told The Daily News  that Joan "arrived in good spirits" and "was very personable and gave everyone hugs and kisses" at the taping. She reportedly joked with her assistant about "placing bets on how much the chandeliers cost" at the Cutting Room, where the segment was filmed last April.

In the scene, Rivers tasked contestants with crafting a jingle for Anheuser Busch's Lime-a-Rita and Straw-B-Rita drinks. In a recap, People.com suggested "Rivers was more maternal than acid. It's not the side of her most people knew, but it was a very real side of her."

Steve Walter, co-owner of the Cutting Room, says he was honored to host Joan, who performed at the club numerous times. “We consider Joan Rivers as a part of the Cutting Room family,” he said. “She was not only a comic genius, but she was also very kind and generous. She is greatly missed and we will always remember her.”
