They've been teasing it for ages, but the long-awaited Absolutely Fabulous is actually going to happen: Joanna Lumley, who plays Patsy Stone on the beloved series, says filming will officially start on October 12.

Oh, it's gonna be an AbFab Halloween this year, sweetie!

“We are all there, the same old gang,” said the glam actresses this morning on ITV’s This Morning. “Lots of people you will have seen in it before, I think we are going down to the south of France to do some of the shooting there... It is going to be ravishingly funny! Very gorgeous… and completely fabulous!”

Lumley 69, admits she might need some help to re-create her character's iconic beehive.

“I usually use my own hair, and that’s usually for one show a week in front of an audience,” she explained. “But when you’re shooting for seven or eight weeks every day, I think I’ll give it a bit of a break.”

We don't know much about the film's plot (and honestly, does it really matter?) but Jennifer Saunders confirmed male supermodel David Gandy will co-star. She's also hoping to line up Elton John and Lulu for cameos.

The AbFab creator credited Lumley with encouraging her to get the script done. "Joanna said to me, ‘Do it before we die!’ We’re all on the brink.”
