Score another point for Mr. Biden.
While Mitt Romney is stuck in the dark ages when it comes to LGBT rights, VP Joe Biden is all about fighting for equality.
Biden was chatting with people at an Obama for America office in Florida when a woman, Linda Carragher Bourne, told him her daughter was Miss Trans New England. She asked Biden to help them and he responded by saying transgender discrimination is the “civil rights issue of our time.”
The VP is often made fun of for his gaffes and excessive smiling but when shit gets serious he isn’t afraid to stand up for what he believes in. Biden forced Obama’s hand by coming out in support of same-sex marriage and now he’s confirming the importance of recognizing transgender discrimination which is still a big problem in the states.
But yeah, it totally makes sense to replace him with Paul Ryan.
