Joe Biden Salutes "Will & Grace" Creators At Logo Trailblazer Honors

“Jill and I are thrilled to hear that Will and Grace and Jack and Karen are going to be back this fall."

Fans are counting the days until the Will & Grace revival premieres on NBC in September—and one of those fans is Joe Biden.

The former vice president sent a special surprise message to Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, the series' co-creators, who were honored at this year's Logo Trailblazer Honors.

Before the duo were brought up onstage to accept their award, Will & Grace star Debra Messing introduced a video message from Biden congratulating them on being trailblazers for the LGBT community.

"This groundbreaking show helped countless Americans evolve to understand, accept and love our gay friends, our family and our neighbors," he said. "Jill and I are thrilled to hear that Will and Grace and Jack and Karen are going to be back this fall."

"We're going to be watching."

This isn't the first time that Biden has voiced his love for the NBC series. When the subject of same-sex marriage came up during his appearance on Meet the Press in 2012, Biden credited the series with helping people's views on the LGBT community evolve. "I think Will & Grace did more to educate the American public more than almost anything anybody has done so far," he said on the news program.

Mutchnick and Kohan were just two of the trailblazers honored this year. Cyndi Lauper, Alvin Ailey and activist Cleve Jones were also among the names saluted for their work in the LGBT community.

Logo Trailblazer Honors airs Friday, June 23 at 9/8c on Logo.
