Joe Manganiello has apparently been taking a much needed break as True Blood 's hiatus continues. On Monday, NewNowNext caught up with the scruffy hunk—who is regrowing the beard he shaved in September—at VH1's You Oughta Know Awards, where he was introducing honoree Lorde.

Was Joe participating in Movember, when millions of guys grow facial hair to raise awareness of men's health issues? Or is he just too busy to keep his face baby smooth? Next year will be a busy one for Manganiello, after all : Not only does True Blood start shooting its final season in January, but both the book he wrote and the two films he's directed will be coming out.

All that and he apparently still has time to work out 18 hours a day? Maybe he really is supernatural.
