John Grant Has A “Disappointing” Trip To The Bathhouse In New Music Video (NSFW)

Will the out singer find love in the steam room?

Alt-rock singer John Grant is back with the video for his new song, “Disappointing,” which sees him taking a strange trip though a surreal bathhouse.

“’Disappointing’ is pretty straightforward,” Grant said in a statement. “I list a bunch of my favorite things in the world, like Earl Grey Malts from Paris on the Platte café in Denver… [It’s] about how everything in the world is disappointing compared to seeing a smile spread across the face of the one you love.”

With guest vocals by Tracey Thorn, “Disappointing” is the latest single off Grant’s upcoming LP, Grey Tickles, Black Pressures, which also includes collabs with Amanda Palmer and Budgie of Siouxsie and the Banshees.

Formerly of the Czars, Grant garnered international acclaim for his 2010 solo album, Queen of Denmark, which was featured in Andrew Haigh’s film Weekend. (Grant’s music was also used in Haigh’s HBO series, Looking.)

Grey Tickles, Black Pressures will be released in October 2015.
