John Kasich Thinks It Is Wrong For Business Owners To Discriminate Against LGBT People

"If you’re in the business of commerce, conduct commerce."

John Kasich is continuing to stand out among the other Republican presidential candidates for his refusal to attack gay rights.

This time, the Ohio governor said that he doesn't like the restrictions that many conservatives are pushing to allow businesses to deny services to same-sex couples.

"Today, I’m not going to sell to somebody who’s gay, and tomorrow, maybe I won’t sell to somebody who’s divorced," Kasich said. "I mean, if you’re in the business of commerce, conduct commerce. That’s my view."

Kasich made his comments during Thursday night's GOP debate in Texas, and it's not the first time he's proven himself to be less bigoted than his opponents.

As we previously reported, the governor recently said that although he's "for traditional marriage," he does not intend to fight the Supreme Court's ruling on marriage equality.

“Look, we’re not changing any laws,” Kasich said. “The court has spoken. That’s the end of it.”
